I am an Honours History student at ConcordiaUniversity. I have a special interest in food History and how it shapes a community and it was evident through the interviews we conducted that food is an important part of the Legion culture. The many times the bake sales were mentioned, the ladies cooking and last but not least the "corn beef and cabbage”. Yet, the Legion culture is so intricate and it was amazing to be able to interview the members. I learned so much and had such an amazing experience and I would like to specially thank Vera Sherlock and Leonard Collins for extending their time and allowing me to interview them.

I am an Honour History Major with a keen interest in Colonial studies and Gender studies. I find women's History equally interesting and so it was very important for me to uncover the women's roles in the Legion. In particular the Ladies Auxiliary was very interesting to learn about and I wish to extend a special thanks to Allen Caulderwood, Norman Mungham, Bernice Mungham and especially Mary Snell who allowed me to interview her. She had a lot to say about the Ladies Auxiliary. However, everyone at Legion 212 helped us very much and made us feel welcome.

I am an Honours Public History student at ConcordiaUniversity. I am very interested in Canadian History and it was a joy to be able to work with everyone at Legion 212. We hoped to be able to uncover why the Legion is important to the community and it's members. The interviews we conducted were very rich in information and the video we made from them was amazing. I also work at the National Field of Honour in Pointe Claire during the summer and so I am very interested in Canada's military History. I hope you enjoy our website and I just want to thank everyone who took the time to help us with our project. In particular, Rita Bowers, Gilbert Gordon, Brian Willett and especially my grandmother, Bernice Mungham who helped me set up the interviews with some amazing people.
